- The line between AI work and human work isn't fixed. It moves as the tools improve, faster than most governance models can track.
- "Can AI do this now?" sounds like a technical question. It's a leadership one: which decisions will you let AI make, and who owns the consequences?
- AI is the sidekick, not the lead actor. It drafts, spots patterns and personalises. People frame the problem, define success and make the call.
- L&D has to talk business. Wix correlates performance data with learning data, and sometimes the answer isn't training at all.
- Before a big programme, pilot it with a control group. It shows whether behaviour changed and lets you estimate ROI at scale.
- Fear holds adoption back. Teams need a safe space to experiment and fail.
On 23 September we hosted The Corporate Learning Table, now IN ON HR, a digital roundtable with Dr. Eli Bendet-Taicher, Head of Global Learning & Talent Development at Wix. Eli started as a scientist, with a PhD in nuclear physics and a faculty post at NYU, where he won awards for rebuilding how science was taught to students raised on video. He left a tenure-track position to bring that approach to corporate learning, and has worked in L&D in the tech industry since.
The room was made up of L&D leaders, HR directors, training providers and learning-tech founders. The question on the table was where AI ends and humans begin.
