INONDA publisher roundtable with special guest Dr. Curtis Finch and host Alex Sardinha, sponsored by Redmenta

Join Dr. Curtis Finch, Superintendent of Deer Valley Unified School District, for a small online roundtable exploring what schools need from publishers and how AI is changing expectations of learning resources.

Hear his district perspective, bring your own questions and compare ideas with fellow education publishing leaders. We’ll discuss what helps a resource earn its place in the classroom, where AI can add value, and what schools need from the publishers already working with them.

On the table

A closer look at the decisions behind district buying.

If you’re deciding what to develop around your textbooks, digital resources or AI offering, understanding the school’s priorities is a useful place to start.

This roundtable brings publishing leaders into a conversation with a district superintendent about the resources schools choose, the challenges of putting them into practice, and the support they need from publishing partners.

01

What makes a school district choose one publisher over another?

Explore what matters when schools assess learning resources: curriculum fit, teacher workload, evidence of value, implementation and ongoing support. Discuss what helps an offer progress and what can hold it back.

02

Where can AI add value that schools actually want?

Discuss where AI could improve teaching and learning, how it might strengthen existing materials, and the evidence and safeguards schools need before bringing it into classrooms.

03

What do schools need next from their existing publishing partners?

Consider how expectations are changing around print, digital activities and adaptable learning resources, and what publishers can do to remain useful partners to teachers and school leaders.
